Cookie Policy

This page explains how cookies and similar technologies may be used on colorwoodassociations.org.

Effective date: September 3, 2026 · Last updated: September 15, 2026

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by a website or its service providers. Similar technologies, such as local storage, tags, and pixels, can remember choices, measure activity, and support advertising.

Necessary storage

We use local storage to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. This preference is necessary to respect your choice and does not require analytics to be enabled.

Google tags and default consent

On the production website, Google Analytics 4 loads with Consent Mode enabled. Google AdSense loads only when advertising is configured; otherwise its tag is not loaded and ads are not shown. Analytics storage, advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization are denied by default. Until you make a choice, and after you reject optional uses, active Google tags may send limited cookieless measurement requests but may not use optional Google cookies through our consent settings. Local development does not load these production tags.

Analytics cookies

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 may set or read analytics cookies and process usage information to help us understand how the website is used. If you do not allow analytics, analytics storage stays denied and measurement is limited to cookieless signals.

Advertising cookies

If you allow advertising, Google and its partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses and other identifiers, and personalize ads where permitted. If you do not allow advertising, advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization remain denied, and Google is instructed to restrict advertising-related processing.

Embedded game storage

Playable game frames are supplied by FreeGames.com and other game providers. They are loaded only after you choose Load game. Once loaded, the provider may use cookies, local storage, advertising technologies, or similar tools within the frame. These are controlled by the provider rather than this site. Do not load the game if you do not want your browser to connect to those services.

Managing your choices

Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer to allow or reject analytics and advertising separately. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser. Deleting local storage may cause the privacy banner to appear again.

Changes and contact

We may update this page when the technologies or providers we use change. Questions can be sent to contact@colorwoodassociations.org. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
